You know, I am not sure if “something” is going to happen on December 21, 2012 — that exact date, yet I do feel that there are several “somethings” that could happen at any given time — could be “happening” as I write this blog post.

 

These “happenings” could actually prove to be heavy castastrophes for some or even all of earth’s living creatures.

What Could Happen Now Until 2012 and Beyond?

 

There are a lot of weird prophecies surrounding 2012 and the 12/21/2010 date — some of them seem just too outlandish to be concerned about. Yet, there are a few that could logically happen — and happen really at any time.

 

For example:

 

A Flu Pandemic could break-out at anytime. A Flu so strong our doctors and scientists do not have the ability to squash. With international travel so easy, worldwide spread can happen very quickly.

 

A Supervolcano as written about by BBC as well as the Discovery Channel. These Supervolcanos are a real threat. Think about what would happen IF the HUGE volcano at Yellowstone erupted. The US would experience earthquakes, heat and gas emissions and more. Our earth’s global climate could be greatly effected for many years to come.

 

World War(s) A world wide war seems to always be a threat. Unrest and tension with Korea, Iran, Pakistan, are particularly threatening.

 

Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) from the Sun is another logical threat that could disrupt our way of life for many months. A solar storm was recorded in 1859 that wiped out telegraph systems. What would one of that magnitude do now? Power blackouts? Satellites disabled? Developed countries would really feel the pain.

 

The above are just a handful of logical “things” that could happen at anytime including 2012.

People’s Psychological Problem with Warnings including 2012 Prophecy

 

Many people simply do not take “warnings” seriously or have the attitude of “It Won’t Happen To Me”

 

Let’s take the example of Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans. The residents of New Orleans were warned that Hurricane Katrina was bearing down upon them. The city of New Orleans HAS been flooded before, yet A LOT of people were very apathetic about the warning, making statements of … New Orleans never gets hit, etc.

 

Even the local government did not hold the warning of a direct hit as seriously as it should have. If they had, they would have made more of an effort of getting more people OUT of the city with school buses, etc.

 

I can go on and on at what did happen at that terrible time — you probably already know. The point is, people simply do not prepare for the WORST. Instead, they assume “nothing will happen to them”

 

So, is all this hoopla about the 2012 Prophecy overrated?

So, in the final analysis is believing in the 2012 prophecy a good thing? Or a bad thing?
